About OSAsense B.V.
OSAsense originated from the observation that the diagnosis of sleep apnea for patients could be significantly improved. Currently, it appears that 20% to 35% of patients referred to the hospital with suspected sleep apnea end up not having sleep apnea. At the same time a large number of people who suffer from sleep apnea remain undiagnosed, while often experiencing negative health effects. The current method (poly(somno)graphy) to diagnose sleep apnea is complex, time-consuming and costly.
Our solution
We developed the OSAsense platform with the primary goal of providing a solution that allows patients to be screened for the likelihood of sleep apnea at home in an approachable, quick and cost-effective way. Through an overnight saturation measurement and a validated questionnaire.
Our approach
Our practice is based on evidence-based principles, following ethical medical practice guidelines. In addition, we strive to play a role in raising awareness among general practitioners and patients about various aspects, including sleep hygiene, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea.
